Dionne Sylvester FCIM

Dionne was born in Llwynypia before moving to Pencoed at a young age. She took an active part in athletics at school level and progressed to represent Wales at 100 m, 200 m and relay. Dionne studied Business and Finance and joined Ford Motor Company as a Finance Assistant straight from college. A career in finance continued for the next 18 years where Dionne held positions in Cardiff City Council, Tesco PLC and a Chartered Accountants.
It was during the 16 years at Graham Paul Chartered Accountants that Dionne demonstrated a passion for Marketing. Fortunately she was afforded the opportunity to change her career path and started upon her CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) journey.
Dionne has worked in Marketing over the last 10 years gaining experience in an accountancy practice, Wales’s largest law firm and eventually at MPCT where she holds the role of Head of Marketing. She is thriving in what is a rapidly expanding, fast paced and demanding role. Her exposure to Learners and their development is the highlight of her working career to date as she has always had a keen interest in education and social issues.
Dionne holds FCIM accredited status with CIM and hopes to gain her full chartered status next year due to continued study and experience.
Dionne has 2 grown up daughters, Amelia who is studying criminology in Durham and Ella who studies at Cardiff and aims to become a teacher. She has lived in Miskin for the last 10 years where she enjoys the country air after living in Cardiff for most of her adult life.
